Bobo Mhlongo (Bonginkosi phathisizwe) known as Mfanawepiki is a Maskandi music artist born and grew up at inquthu . During the interview he told us he joined the music industry 2003 working with indidane ,then 2004 he worked with another group called iyingane kamgoza .he worked with them for a long time then 2006 the legend Mgcumeni joined their group as a producer . 2007 Mgcumeni released an album called i jukebox and bobo was part of that album ,yes he did not appear on the DVD but he was part of the album ,they worked together till 2009 where Mgcumeni passed away ,The name "Umfanawepiki" came from maskandi fans when they see him dancing with a pick and they started calling him "umfanawepiki".
