Msaphazo interview

Sbonelo Mhlongo known as Msaphazo is one of the new and young maskandi artists .He was born and raised at Inkandla Emandaba. He started music during his school days then 2011 he went to JHB hoping for better opportunities.He had a friend he was working with by then , The well known Maskandi singer Buselaphi promised to assist them do their 1st album but unfortunately she also wanted a certain fee and they couldn't raise it .So Buselaphi did not help them.they kept pushing and trying until he met his ex class mate (Fish mbatha)who was good in a guitar and they decided to start a group called ongodi and they realised an album which was led by him.that album was not successful and he kept pushing until he meet Mr Khumalo and he helped him realise his 1st album as msaphazo called Impi yomlomo ,he elaborated more about this tittle ,he told us the tittle was meant for those who believe in insulting other artist or fighting other artist to get high and fast recognition ,he says he is not part of that activity and he will never be 

Msaphazo composed a song about Khuzani(indlamlendze) and he told us the reason he decided to write a song about khuzani was to show how proud he is about khuzani's success ,Khuzani is the 1st and only celebrity they have in his valley and he sees that as a huge record and he had to sing a song to encourage him and let him know they are proud of him ,he knows  there are people talking negative things about him composing a song called indlamlemze because they only think he did it to get recognition and that's not true.yes he knows Khuzani is a well known artist and he can make him famous as well but that was not the reason he composed a song about him .He is happy because the blue nation gives him love and a good support

"event organisers ,please give us a chance , I Msaphazo i know how powerful and active am i on stage.i can play on stage ,i can play very well but we are not given a fair chance to prove or show what we have to the music lovers ,we being called Amavukane and we are not respected sometimes when we playing DJ will just stop the sound as simple as that .So i ask event organisers to respect us as well and treat us equal".Even the broadcasters confuses him sometimes because he really do not understand how do they choose music they play on air , he sometimes see people with a very good and strong albums not playing on air ,an see people with a very little song playing on air ,he just don't understand how do they choose the right music ,so he ask broadcasters to play their music equal on air
